We do offer Commercial Legal Protection as an optional extra which will cover your legal expenses in certain circumstances as explained in the Policy Document. Our Commercial Legal Protection cover is underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited who are not part of the Allianz group of companies.
Commercial Legal Protection cover has the following features and benefits:
- Employment disputes and compensation awards.
- Legal defence.
- Property protection and physical injury.
- VAT disputes and Tax investigations.
- Maximum limit of £100,000 for any one claim for Employment Compensation Awards.
- Maximum limit of £1,000,000 in any one period of insurance for Employment Compensation Awards.
Significant exclusions or limitations for Commercial Legal Protection include:
- Employment dispute where the cause of action arises within the first 90 days of the indemnity provided by this Section.
- Dispute with an employee who was subject to a written or oral warning (formal or informal) within 180 days immediately preceding the inception date of the indemnity provided by this Section if the Date of Occurrence was within the first 180 days of the indemnity provided by this Section.
- Redundancy or alleged redundancy or unfair selection for redundancy arising within the first 180 days of the indemnity provided by this Section.
