- Buildings - Covers the cost of rebuilding your business premises with the option to include subsidence damage.
- Theft by employees - Provides cover against a direct loss as a result of fraud and theft of any money/contents by an employee up to £5,000 in any one policy period.
- All risks specified items - Provides cover any specified items used away from the business premises, throughout the whole of the UK and for up to 30 consecutive days elsewhere in the world.
- Computer Breakdown - Provides cover for loss or damage caused by computer breakdown or failure up to a value specified by you.
Cover also extends to include:- Loss or damage to computer records up to a limit of £5000 in any one policy period.
- Additional expenditure arising from the breakdown of computer equipment upto a limit of £10,000 in any one policy period.
- Reinstatement of data upto £5,000 in any one policy period.
- Subsidence - Covers damage to premises caused by subsidence, ground heave or landslip.
- Terrorism - Covers you against damage to your property from the effect of acts of terrorism upto the maximum sums insured of Section 1 - Contents and Section 4 - Buildings.
Commercial Legal Protection
We do offer Commercial Legal Protection cover as an optional extra which will cover your legal expenses in certain circumstances as explained in the Policy Document. Our Commercial Legal Protection cover is underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited.
- Commercial Legal Protection cover has the following features and benefits:
- Employment disputes and compensation awards.
- Legal defence.
- Property protection and bodily injury.
- Tax investigation and VAT disputes.
- Maximum £1million in any one period of insurance for Employee Compensation Awards. Maximum £100,000 for any one claim.
- Significant exclusions or limitations for Commercial Legal Protection include:
- Employment dispute where the cause of action arises within the first 90 days of the indemnity provided by this section of the policy.
- Dispute with an employee who was subject to a written or oral warning (formal or informal) within 180 days immediately preceding the inception date of the indemnity provided by this section of the policy if the date of occurrence was within the first 180 days of the indemnity provided by this section of the policy.
- Redundancy or alleged redundancy or unfair selection for redundancy arising within the first 180 days of the indemnity provided by this section of the policy.
