Who are Cornhill Direct Business?

Cornhill Direct Business are providers of business insurance you can trust. Cornhill Direct Business is a trading name of Allianz Business Services Limited which is a subsidiary of Allianz Insurance plc one of the UK's largest insurers and part of the Allianz group of companies.

How long will it take to get my quote?

We can normally arrange a business insurance quote within 15 minutes.

What information will I need?

Our specialist teams are on hand to guide you through the process, so don’t worry. If you have any existing policy documents from you previous insurer, please have these to hand as they will probably contain all the information you will need – but don’t worry if you haven’t.

Will my premises be visited?

No visit will be made to your premises prior to taking out your policy; however a visit may be arranged during the lifetime of the policy by Allianz Insurance plc. This could take the form of a survey which may be carried out depending on the insurance risk level of your business. You may also receive a visit following a claim whereby a representative of our claims handling partner GAB Robbins may undertake an inspection for us, depending on the type of incident and the monetary estimate of the claim.

How long will it take for my policy documents to arrive?

We will in most cases send out your policy documents the same day you take out your cover but please allow at least 2 days for your documentation to arrive.

Will my premiums go up if I make a claim?

Premiums won’t always go up if you have made a claim – we will look at every case separately.

You could choose to protect your no claims discount, so that if you do make a claim your premiums won’t go up.

How long will my quote stay valid for?

Your Cornhill Direct Business quote will be valid for 60 days.

If I complete the quotation form online, what will happen next?

If you fill in the online form, your details will be sent through to a member of our experienced team. They will call you to go through your options and give you a competitive quote.

Will you cover my trade?

What will I actually be covered for?

We try to make our policies as relevant to your business as possible. To find out what you will be covered for, simply select the most relevant trade category from the links at the top of the page and find the sector which best represents your business.

How many years no claims discount do you allow?

We allow up to 6 years no claims discount to be earned, which you can choose to protect.

Can I have a courtesy vehicle if mine is off the road?

As long as you use one of our approved repairers, you will receive a courtesy car - subject to availability and terms & conditions.

If I leave tools in my van will they be insured?

We are unable to cover you against theft, including tools, from your vehicle if left unattended unless you have ensured all doors, windows and other points of access have been closed and locked and any security devices correctly set to operate and all keys to doors, ignition and other services removed and if between the hours of 9pm and 6am the vehicle is in a securely locked building or guarded security park.

Will my trailer be covered?

To have the same cover as your vehicle, your trailer must be specified on your policy documents.

How do I pay?

How will I pay if any additional premiums are due?

For those of you who pay for your business insurance by monthly instalments, we can simply spread the amount over either 3 or 10 months.* You can also choose to pay by cheque, credit or debit card.**

If I need to fit intruder alarms, will Cornhill Direct Business be able to advise me?

The National Advisory Council on Security Systems (NACOSS) is the best place to go for advice. In some instances a NACOSS alarm will be a requirement and this will be made clear to you at the time of your quotation.

Can Cornhill Direct Business advise on security and locks?

To protect your business we require a certain minimum security standard . a member of our experienced team will be able to tell you more about this.

Can you help with any legal or unemployment problems?

We will give you access to free legal advice when you choose Cornhill Direct Business.
