On 25th May 2018, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force introducing new requirements to previous legislation of the Data Protection Act.

With not long to go, time to prepare your business for the new regulation is fast approaching. A recent government survey suggested that of those that were aware of the upcoming changes, just over a quarter of businesses (27%) have made modifications to how they operate, directly as a response to the forthcoming amendments to the data protection regulation. The UK’s job market has seen a significant increase in advertisements for Data Protection Officers this year alone, with over a quarter of positions posted since the start of 2018 and January alone seeing 12% of vacancies posted.
